But President Donald Trump seemed to love it, thinking the emails would prove that some people on the federal payroll didn’t exist.
“Maybe we’re paying people that don’t exist,” Trump said Wednesday. “We’re trying to figure out: Do they exist?”
Kimmel pointed out that sending emails isn’t exactly the best way to accomplish that ― then offered Trump a stinging reminder about first lady Melania Trump.
“Listen, you can’t find Melania,” he said. “It doesn’t mean she doesn’t exist. She’s not responding to you.”
Melania Trump hasn’t been seen much in public and apparently hasn’t spent much time at the White House since her husband returned to office more than a month ago.
